The 5k Bremerton Blackberry Festival Walk Me Home 2013 will again travel from the Festival to Evergreen Park and back. It is a gentle morning stroll through Bremerton and the Park that gets you back to the Festival well before lunch. Proceeds from this walk will support training for local foster, kinship and adoptive parents next November here in Kitsap County. Well trained caregivers help kids in care have the best experience possible. You may understandably not be able to take these kids into your home, but you can show them that their community cares. Come enjoy a walk with us.

Pacific Northwest Caregivers Conference 2014
Hello everyone, Mike Canfield here from FPAWS . I hope I am finding you well. We have changed the dates for the 2014 Pacific Northwest Caregivers Conference at Great Wolf Lodge to May 17th and 18th with our room blocks on the 16th and 17th. Great Wolf is a great place to have a family friendly conference. While one or both parents are getting training the rest of the family can get exhausted at the indoor water park. We expect a big crowd. Please contact Great Wolf soon to book your rooms, our Group code is 1305 FPAWS. Rooms hold 6 people. We can only get 120 rooms each night at $129.00 plus tax and fees, (about another $28). We will not have Night of 1000 Dreams, our annual fund raiser, attached to this conference. We are still looking for a date and location for Night of 1000 Dreams. Our conference committee is working very hard to make this another terrific Pacific Northwest Caregivers Conference. Beth, I and our wonderful FPAWS Board look forward to seeing you there next May. We will have our classes and registration set up after the first of the year, so visit us at www.fpaws.org or on facebook to stay updated. Please forward this email and talk to your caregiving friends as we want everyone to have a chance to plan for this event. See you there, Mike

Next KFCA fundraiser and dinner meeting
Hello foster parents!
Our next fundraiser is coming up and we need your help!! Are you a golfer? Do you know a golfer? Do you know any businesses who would sponsor the golf tournament (for as little as $100!)?? Attached are the 2 forms you need for registration and sponsorships. Please pass them out to everyone you know! Post on your Facebook page, tack one up at the gym or work, forward via email, anything to get the word out! All funds raised will go directly towards the Dream Project, which funds little wishes for foster children (I know many of you have used these funds in the last year or so) so PLEASE help us continue offering this service.
Also, next dinner meeting is an informal picnic at Evergreen park in Bremerton on June 19th from 6-8pm. We will have: clothing donations!, details about how to register for Back To School, food and fun!
Hope to see you there!!Naomi

100% of Donations Benefit Local Foster Care Organizations
100% of your contribution will go directly to the foster-care organization that you designate. There are nearly 20,000 foster children living in the Northwest, enduring challenges that few of us can imagine. In an effort to improve the lives of these children, Sleep Country USA developed the Sleep Country USA Foster Kids Program, an initiative dedicated to supporting local organizations that advocate for the well-being of foster children. These non-profit organizations offer the indispensible services and little extras that allow local foster youth to experience more stable and joyful childhoods.
How to Participate:
All ages are welcome to participate in Pajama Bowl. Each team must raise or donate a minimum of $250 (that’s only $50 per person), with a minimum of $50 due at the time of registration. Register online soon.
Once you have registered for this year’s Pajama Bowl, you will be e-mailed a confirmation letter. We encourage all bowlers to continue collecting donations until the day of the Pajama Bowl. Please bring any additional donations to the event, and present them when you sign in.
Prizes:
Win a Simmons Beautyrest World Class mattress set for you and your entire team!
