Our Mission:

To increase self esteem in foster children in Kitsap County. Creating partnerships within our community that would allow us to enhance and enrich the children we come in contact with.

Dreams Come True:

The D.R.E.A.M. Project fulfills its mission by granting “dreams come true” or “little wishes” to children in out-of-home care in Kitsap County. Small Dreams Request Forms are submitted to the D.R.E.A.M. Project committee by the child’s social worker, CASA, or foster parent. These requests can include tuition for summer camp, swimming lessons, music lessons, sports team fees/equipment, bicycles, specialty clothing, graduation costs, prom expenses, or holiday photos for example. Requests are reviewed and approved by our committee. Each child may submit a request form once a year for a dollar amount up to $75.00. This money can be designated toward the cost of the dream if the expense is greater than $75.00. Some of the items requested may be attained at a lesser cost from a generous merchant. If the item requested does not fall within the guidelines of the project, the request will be forwarded on to other sources.
