Ghost Train signups are officially open!

A few important changes to note this year:

1. The parks department is requiring KFCA to share a finalized vendor list no later than 30 days prior to the event. For this reason, the deadline for sign-ups is Monday September 25. Please be mindful of this deadline, as it is a new change for 2023 and we will not be able to accept late sign-ups if you do miss the deadline.

2. The cost for trick-or-treating booths has increased to $50 to support the costs associated with running this event. We consistently have over 2,000 people in the park on the night of the event so this is still a great deal to get your business or organization in front of potential customers and support Kitsap foster children at the same time.

3. New in 2023 we are offering a limited number of Featured Sponsor spots. For $100, your logo will be included on Ghost Train marketing materials. You can choose this option in the participant application if you would like to be a featured sponsor.

4. We get to have food trucks this year! Please pass on the information to any food truck vendors you know and ask them to email ghosttrain if they would like to participate. The cost will be $100 for food vendors.

5. For the event itself, tickets will be sold online soon. There will be some tickets available at the park on the day of the event.

It’s the most wonderful time….of the year….Time to register for holiday gifts! We will provide gifts to all kids in the house, regardless of legal status, as long as you are a licensed foster home with a current placement in Kitsap or you have Kitsap kids placed with you. This event is also open for kinship and suitable other placements. Kids 10 and up may receive a gift card OR a gift based on your suggestions.

Please mark your calendar to ensure pick up on Dec 10th between 1pm and 2:30pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard. We can’t guarantee gifts will be available after Dec 10th. Thank you for respecting the time and effort that our volunteers put in to make this program successful.

If you registered for gifts last year and did not pick up, you are not eligible to register this year.

We are beyond thrilled to announce that GHOST TRAIN IS BACK! (…and better than ever, but only with your help!)

Kitsap Foster Care Association is seeking local Kitsap community businesses and organizations to sponsor a Trick-or-Treating booth at our largest annual fundraiser on October 29, 2022. We are also seeking community groups and organizations who would like to volunteer to set up a spooky scene in the forest to entertain all of the Ghost Train Riders.

The most recent Ghost Train (in 2019) sold out over 1600 tickets to ride the train and welcomed over 2000 people through the park to the trick or treating booths. This is a fantastic opportunity to create visibility for your business or organization while also showing your support of Kitsap foster kids.
